Over the years I have been invited to present workshops and facilitate sessions for a number of organisations. Here are but a few...In 2014 I took up the challenge to develop Community Development training for the Community House network. The project was called Connecting Ideas and Process and was funded by Tas Medicare Local (now Primary Health Tasmania). I worked with a small team at Population Health to develop what was a unique program of training, tailored to suit more than 30 Community Houses stretching from Geeveston in the South to King Island. We travelled the state to deliver the grassroots training and this provided the material for the Community Development Toolkit that was launched by TML and Neighbourhood Houses Tasmanian in 2015. The beauty of this project was it’s focus on accessible, clear jargon-free language that could accommodate the diversity of skills within regional communities. It was a pleasure to work with these communities and introduce them to tools that could help them deliver their programs. The kit is available from the NHT website and training is available by contacting kylieeastley@gmail.com
